Program Fees and Costs

• Initial joining cost is $105 and provides membership for one year from the initial sign-up date.

• Cub Scouts continuing after the initial year will pay an annual renewal fee of $160 renewal fee.

• The membership/renewal fee does not include uniforms, camp-outs, summer camp, or pack or den activities.

• The estimated annual cost to participate in Pack 222 is between $105 to $400.

• Cub Scouts compares to the cost of other recreation activities (such as sports), while providing a year-long program with lifelong benefits.

• Pack 222 will not let program expenses prevent any youth from participating and offers scholarships to assist in the initial registration cost for new Cub Scouts.

• Families with KanCare health benefits (Aetna, Sunflower, United HealthCare) can receive a $50 credit per year.

Fundraising 

Pack 222 operates under the idea that every Cub Scout should pay his or her own way. To that end, the Pack participates in the Quivira Council's annual popcorn fundraiser in September and October. This fundraiser provides several opportunities for Cub Scouts to raise enough money to pay for the next year's registration fees, camping fees, and any other expenses required for participation in the Pack. Cub Scouts can earn enough money to pay for their entire program year through the popcorn sale.
